Paulina Agrawal, MHC-LP

Each of us is deserving of joy and peace, and I am here to help you claim yours. Through therapy, you can connect to your most authentic self and enjoy who you truly are.

I treat individuals and couples with a variety of issues including body kindness/fat liberation, identity development, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity development, addiction, sexuality, relationships, LGBTQIA+ specific issues and more.

My approach is relational, collaborative, and emotion-focused in nature, with elements of DBT, mindfulness, AEDP, and Internal Family Systems. As an active member of ASDAH (Association for Size Diversity and Health), I remain committed to incorporating the evolving principles of HAES (Health at Every Size) into my clinical work. My approach is tailored to each client’s unique journey, but the cornerstones are openness, curiosity, humor, and mutual trust.

I aim to show up as a whole human being with you- to laugh with you, grieve with you, and celebrate you fully. In our sessions, I will introduce you to actionable strategies and tools to promote your healing and transformation. My hope is that my clients leave our sessions feeling empowered and inspired to bring the wisdom gained into their daily lives.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in the theatre and my therapeutic approach is informed by my creative background. I then went on to earn my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at New York University. When I am not in the clinical space I enjoy cooking, reading a good novel, spending time with my pup, catching a silent meditation retreat, listening to a cast album, or gardening.

I am passionate about helping my clients live fully and presently. Within the safety of the therapy room, we can collaboratively overcome the issues that have plagued you for years.
